When you donate online, you will receive an email confirmation right away documenting your donation.
We mail annual statements of giving to our donors every January. If you are mailing a check, please just include a note if you would like a donation receipt for each individual donation. We are happy to do that for you.

If you are over 72 and interested in supporting The Giving Plate, you may have the opportunity to transfer up to $100,000 from your IRA to satisfy all or a portion of your Required Minimum Distribution (RMD) without incurring federal income tax. Policies no longer needed for family or business protection purposes can be excellent charitable gifts. When you transfer ownership of the policy to The Giving Plate, the cash value becomes a tax-deductible gift, including all future premium payments.

If you have a donor-advised fund and choose not to name an account successor, you can specify that the fund's remaining assets go to The Giving Plate.
