What's Cooking at The Giving Plate? This month, it's a sweet treat that’s protein-packed and totally guilt-free! This edible raw cookie dough is perfect for dipping with apple slices, graham crackers, or just sneaking spoonfuls straight from the bowl!

Ingredients:

  • 1 can of chickpeas (drained & rinsed)

  • 2 Tbsp oat flour or almond flour

  • 3-4 Tbsp maple syrup (for just the right sweetness)

  • 2 tsp vanilla extract

  • 1/4 cup nut butter (peanut, almond, or your favorite)

  • 1/2 tsp salt

  • 1/2 cup of your favorite mix-ins: chocolate chips, chopped chocolate bars, M&Ms, or Reese's Pieces! (Pro-tip: You can grab the candy at Dollar Tree for a budget-friendly boost!)

Directions:

1. Toss everything (except the chocolate/candy) into a food processor and blend until creamy and smooth.

2. Stir in your chocolatey treats.

3. Chill it in the fridge. Then, get ready to dive in with sliced apples, graham crackers, or just grab a spoon and enjoy!

4. All the garbanzo protein with none of the guilt!
