2024 Jingle Christmas Recap
The holiday season at The Giving Plate was nothing short of magical, and our 2024 Jingle Christmas event was one for the books! This year, we opened sign-ups for Jingle Store, our free two-day Christmas event for low to moderate-income families, to 945 families. In just four hours, every spot was filled! When the event arrived, 871 families came through our doors, experiencing the joy and cheer of the holiday season.
One of the most heartwarming parts of Jingle Store is watching families "shop" for Christmas gifts for their loved ones using $10 in Jingle Bucks—at no cost to them. As families walked through the event, we heard joyous exclamations like, "This is the best day ever!" The gratitude from parents was overwhelming, and it was clear that this event made a meaningful impact on their holiday season.
To make Jingle Christmas possible, an incredible 475 volunteers gave their time and energy. From five days of setup to three unforgettable event days and one final teardown day, our volunteers were the true holiday heroes. Their dedication helped create a beautiful and festive experience for all who attended.
Capping off the celebration was Santa’s Plate, the third and final day of our Jingle Christmas event. Unlike Jingle Store, Santa’s Plate is a fundraising event open to the public for $30 per ticket. This year, we offered 420 spots, and once again, it was a sold-out success! Families who attended got to meet Santa, enjoy the festive atmosphere, and, instead of shopping for gifts, they decorated a plate for Santa—making special memories together. Santa’s Plate has become a cherished tradition for many Central Oregon families, and we are so grateful to all who joined us.
